How often do you change these if you run one all day and night during the heating months? Do you have to add something to the water?

PS_ I clean out the water area once a week.

I am looking for individual flannel fitting sheet for full size bed. All I can find in the stores are complete sets. Does anyone know of a store that sells individual sheets? They are almost impossible to find anymore.

It's probably cheaper to leave the old one on for labor cost sake. It's the first original layer that needs replacing. I heard you are not supposed to stack more than 3 layers....

any problems with additional weight or fire hazard or leaks?

I need a light vacuum that is not heavy, but just a few pounds, and it has to be quiet. It also can't go over $200.

Thanks.

Okay I say on one of the home makeover shows how they painted the appliances to cut the cost instead of buying new ones. Does anyone know how to do this or how successful it can be?

We have mice in our attic. We set snap traps as well as the sticky ones. We think they are coming in through a particular vent. The exterminator told us NOT to seal up the hole yet. He set traps this morning as well as put bait out. I am concerned the bait will kill the mice and they will die in the attic. He says they will go outside looking for water and die. I think we should call him back and ask him to remove the bait and we should seal up the hole NOW. Am I missing something?

We have very hard iron in our water and we were not home for almost a year so we didn't put a filter on the house. While we were gone the water sat in our toilets and a tiny bit in our showers. Now the toilet has a huge orange ring and the shower has little orange dots all over them. We have tried bleach and kaboom and oxy clean and we still have the rings. We have since put a filter on the house so our water is no longer orange but now I need to know how to get the orange off of all of my toilet and showers since we are now selling the house? So the question would be, what do you suggest I try to get the stains off of my toilets? Any advice would be useful and am willing to try anything. Please help

Juuust another routine day with a 3 1/2 year old energetic little male of the species! Lol! And today's question: how do I get the base of the broken light bulb out of the lamp without further damage to it or to me?? 60 watts.

To anyone following this saga, we do get the " Dragon" (vacuum cleaner) back from the repair shop with its new replacement cord tomorrow. It was killed dead by my 40" tall gallant knight - not two weeks after he single handedly took out my oven by tossing an old cell phone charger into it , unbeknownst to me! ( Well, I did learn that a charger will melt- flat at 450* like a big hard cookie) Any helpful hints as to replacing an oven element while we are here? Lol!

Well on the bright side, I will probably keep all you wonderful people with the handiness know-how busy dispensing your wisdom for a while!

I have found that anytime you buy a new quilt that has individual patches, they will not hold up well. Even if you pay well for it....it is a crap-shoot. It is a shame really. So I have given up on those. So who has the good ones with the best quality print and fabric and stitching that will last? Anyone know?

It's winter, we live in Michigan, it snows, and we still want to grill, there is ice on the wood deck, what would be the best thing to melt the ice off the wood. I am relatively sure that rock salt will start to ruin the wood. What are your suggestions?

Thanks!

About a year ago I was given the most awesome succulent as a gift. The giver told me it was very low maintenance, and did not need direct sunlight. I'd give it a little water about once a month and it seemed to be a happy little plant. To take care of it, I tried to find out exactly what kind of succulent this plant was, and found no answers. Now I have moved into a new home and the plant has basically died. The mystery succulent was placed in a relatively sunny and warm spare bedroom, but I think I forgot about it and it shriveled up. I tried to rescue it by giving it a lot of water; I think that was the big mistake. Now I have this poor wilted, shriveled up succulent that I am trying to save. Some of the branches are still firm and green, so I'll be propagating them with the hopes of forming a new plan. Now, after all of that explanation, can you help me identify this plant? (Link will be in the details) Sorry it's shriveled; this will probably make id more difficult.
