I have a scoter with a 2cycle engin that wont run ,it ran fine till today.i was low on gas/oil mixture so i put some gas in tank and then a little oil when i try to start it pops but wont keep runing, ran fine yesterday when i had right mixture in it.Tryed to mix in tank and mixture is not right. Can anyone tell if they think its to much oil or not enough to just pop and not run.Should i add more gas or more oil to get it to run so i dont have to mix a whole new batch .Thank you,Dave

Compression is critical to a 2 cycle engine. With that said, the only way it can oil itself is with the oil mixed in with the gas. Without the oil, the rings will scratch the cylinder walls, thus decreasing the compression in the cylinder.
I would recommend dumping the tank. Refill the tank with a proper mixture of gas/oil, and see if any damage has already been done to the inside of the engine. If it cranks and runs, you have probably dodged the rebuild bullet this time! If it still only pops, take it to a repair shop for a diagnosis and repair estimate.

From what you wrote, it hasn't started since you added the gas and oil, there for you are very lucky! Drain the tank and put in a good mixture then try priming the carburetor If it ran before but hasn't since it is not getting fuel yet. But if it did run you may have already damaged the cylinder walls, requiring them to be honed and possibly new rings

Drain the tank and mix the gas/oil mixture correctly. Too much gas will burn up the engine, to less it will not run correctly.

your suppose to mix the gas and oil first then pour it in the tank, i would drain the tank, . do you know what mix to use ? 40 to 1, 50 to 1, ? if its poping pour in a little more gas, shake it to mix, try starting it, keep adding small amounts of gas till it starts to run , and there should be a small amount of smoke coming from exhaust,
next time mix it at 50 parts of gas to 1 part oil, then pour it in,
