My sister has the same water, and the ONLY thing that will bring it out is Lysol toilet bowl cleaner. She use it in her tub also, it won't hurt it trust me. I highly suggest getting a water filtration system. This water will ruin your hair, your clothes, finger nails everything...

Mix baking soda and alcohol in a dipper. Put very little alcohol to make a paste. Put the paste on the stains, let it stay for a few minutes maybe five. Then brush it with the toilet bowl brush. This will not scratch the ceramic and will remove hard water stains.

Turn the water off under the toilet bowl and flush to remove water. I use a product called lime away (green plastic bottle). Put it on full strength and let stand for 30 min. or more. Don't use the pumice stone bc/ it will leave scratch marks on your tub and your toilet. Good luck wt/ selling your house.

ZUD is a powdered cleanser that works fantastic on removing the stains you wish to remove. I have used it in toilets many times to get rid of stubborn orange stains. Sprinkle it in the commode, swish it around with a toilet brush, then sprinkle a little more in. Let it set as long as possible. (overnight would be best) To eliminate the orange stains in the shower, wet the stains, then make a paste of ZUD & water, rub on, then let set for as long as possible. You can buy ZUD at the grocery stores, where powdered cleansers are sold, Wal*Mart, etc. Read the back of the ZUD can for stain removal hints. Good luck & Happy New Year!!!!

Try a pumice stone. You can get them from a pool supply place. Just rub the stain and it should come off without damaging the glaze. Just requires a bit of elbow grease.
