I got into escrow on a hot condo - with great city views - top corner unit - brand new construction, perfect. Then the city erected a big electric pole right in front of the window! I'm so bummed and I hate it but love the place. Should I still buy?

I swear I keep seeing a little mouse run under my couch, but I live on the second story of an apartment building and my boyfriend tells me mice wouldn't be on the second story. Is it possible that they get to the second floor of the building?

And of so, what's a good way to get rid of a mouse if I have a cat? (I guess a useless cat if I have mice, haha) I don't want to use anything that the cat will be hurt by or get into.

i have a pond out side my window, in my neighbours lawn, it covered with extreme amounts of trees, it looks pretty cool, however, for years now both me and my neighbours havent slept properly becasue of the bloody annooying toads which reside in the covered pond, note the pond looks more like a crevase, so its pretty deep almost 1.5 meters deep and around 12 metre wide, i think its man made. all day and all night the toads make this extremely knocking noise, and this is not seasonal, its all year round, and theres lots of them, my question is how do i get rid of them, i have my neighbours permission to do what i need to do to get rid of them, they have tried putting acid in the water, it was ineffective, they tried putting large amounts of chlorine and that didnt work, so what can i do to solve this problem and please dont tell me that they keep the insects away, we already have more insewcts because of the dirty pond water.

I have a little tomato plant starter that was given to me at work. It is a miniature clay type pot (with a tiny hole in the bottom for watering purposes). It came with a flat quarter size disk that goes in the pot, which is the dirt and seeds. I don't have any instructions on how you start this thing. Do I just put water over the disk in the pot?? thanks

What can I do about a rotten landlord? When we moved into our "house" last August I told him about a broken window in my kid's room. It is now April and it has snowed in and rained in and everything else. Since then the oven wont turn on, we've caught abought 10 mice, a roach crawled accross the counter, the gas dryer that was hooked up but not usable in the basement is still there, etc. What do I do?

I have a bamboo cutting board that recently got a mold (I live in a very hot and humid climate and the board gets wet quite a bit). I killed the mold but am looking for a solution that will let me clean it properly with little to no effort, and will also allow it to stay wet without consequence. I don't want this to have a bad effect on my kitchen knives or the food being prepared on/eaten off it. I was thinking along the lines of soaking it in linseed/mineral oil mix, epoxying some marble on one side, paint on the other, and polyurathane seal the whole thing. I don't honestly know if that is a sound theory or not, and I don't know if that will dishwasher-proof the cutting board. Any ideas?

2 days ago i was downstairs in my storage unit and there were NO fleas, i go down there today and literally the place seems infested, you could feel and see them jump on your feet, I dont really have the cash for an exterminator, does anyone know of any home remedies, mixed solutions that will work? I have 2 cats that stay upstairs at all times and only an outside cat, but she doesnt seem to have fleas, I use the advantix from the vet on them? is it something with the weather or spring that causes a huge influx of the little pesky things? all serious answers appreciated
