alright so i just got home from school and their are ants EVERYWHERE in my kitchen how do i get rit of them I am home by myself and i hate bugs and things. I sprayed it with ant killer but there are still lots more how do i keep them from going everywhere how do i get rit of all the ants and prevent it from getting worse HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus the food

Vacuum them up -- use the wand to suck them from out of cabinets, under the fridge and along the edges (faster and neater than squishing and spraying!)

Suck up a small piece of paper towel sprayed with bug-killer so that they die in the bag/canister. Empty the vacuum into a sealed bag (like a big baggie) to get the semi-dead ones.

THEN, clean every surface with a household cleaner (glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner), and repeat the wipe down for a couple of days. Rember the cartoon/movie 'Ants' where they followed the trail of ants to and from the anthill? Your job is to eliminate the trail (they leave scent marks with their tail-ends that the others follow). When you have wiped out all the trails, they get confused and head elsewhere.

Be sure you've wiped the counters, floor, window ledges, doorway thresholds, all around the edges of the rooms.

Do you have any orange based cleaner like CitraSolve? These kill ants immediately and may prevent them from coming back.

Keep your food packaged, open boxes can go into large size Zip Lock bags. Clean everything with the citrus cleaners. You also need to find where they are coming in and clean outside as well.

You may have a one-time swarm trying to get outside and took a wrong turn into the house, don't panic yet. Keep the vacuum handy, suck up the bugs and then a quick squirt of bug clearner into the vacuum..while it's still running, then turn off immediately...better keep and gas the bugs in the bag than for you to breathe those chemicals. If you've picked up a herd, throw out the bag, put first enclose in a plastic bag and immediately take to outside trash.

Ants die from salt. You could put salt around the corners. I have also used Windex :)...and they never came back

you should pack any thing with sugar tightly and close all windows. and clean around your kitchen with clorox EVERYWHERE every 2-3 days that will get rid of them
