i have a pond out side my window, in my neighbours lawn, it covered with extreme amounts of trees, it looks pretty cool, however, for years now both me and my neighbours havent slept properly becasue of the bloody annooying toads which reside in the covered pond, note the pond looks more like a crevase, so its pretty deep almost 1.5 meters deep and around 12 metre wide, i think its man made. all day and all night the toads make this extremely knocking noise, and this is not seasonal, its all year round, and theres lots of them, my question is how do i get rid of them, i have my neighbours permission to do what i need to do to get rid of them, they have tried putting acid in the water, it was ineffective, they tried putting large amounts of chlorine and that didnt work, so what can i do to solve this problem and please dont tell me that they keep the insects away, we already have more insewcts because of the dirty pond water.

Remove the food and the toads will go away.

Get some of those floating mosquito "bicuits" (look like donuts) and toss those in the water. They will kill any mosquito larvae, preventing new food from growing.

You may also consider getting an outside cat or two...

Insecticides are effective at killing toads but spreading enough of it around to kill all of them might make the area a biohazard and lets face it if you don't kill 100% of them the problem will just return. The only solution might be to drain the pond. While that sounds daunting, figuring the pond is 12x12x1.5 m or roughly 39000 us gallons a standard 1000 gallon/hour pump (less than $200 USD) would drain it in less than 2 days. If you keep it drained for a few weeks after the noise goes away their population should be low enough that their natural predators will keep their numbers in check for the remainder of the season. Other than that there is always ear plugs...
