Ok my question is this... My porch has no cover what so ever on it, so when it rains and or snows, it gets very slippery.... you can actually see the green(mildew or mold) on the porch, but only when it rains, what can I do to make it not so slippery????

I have noticed what I think is underground yellow jackets and a pile of comb nest outside the hole. I can not find any information to explain this.

It's about 20-25 years old, and I last started it 4 years ago, and it worked. I replaced the spark plug, put in fresh gas, and hanged the oil. It's a pull start, but it isn't starting. . .Figured I'd ask before it goes to snowblower heaven.

I have put up with a lot from my neighbours...banging,shouting, reving their bike outside my window at all hours of the day and night and much much more yet they feel my latch is too loud on my door when it clicks shut and it is "keeping them awake at night" and make numerous complaints about things that i dont have a clue are happening/have nothing to do with or are part of everyday life - how can i deal with them and their little notes they keep putting through my door (other than change my locks to sponge)

I lived in a newly built terrace house once, and I could everything through the walls - could even hear the neighbour on the loo. Yes pretty awful - I think the building regulations are not good enough and should be stricter in order to prevent you having to share your home with next door. Even some older type houses have paper thin walls too. Also lived in an apartment and that was just awful, everything from dowstairs came up into our flat. Drove me mad. Does it drive anyone else mad? If you can't afford a detatched and have to settle for a semi and such like - what age/type/builders are the best houses and what are the worst for soundproofing. I would like to have a candle to make my office smell good but my boss is very sensitive to smells. Are their any kind of candles or air fresheners that aren't as offensive to someone with sensitive sinusis?
