you have 3 choices: 1.mouse trap, can leave a mess to clean, but you'll at least be able to remove the dead thing and prevent an awful stench
2. Get a cat , but keep an eye out under tables etc because the cat will usually leave the head and tail behind
3. Put out some decon mouse poison, be prepared for a few months of bad stench because they will usually hide inside your sofa or in a dark place to die! Just a dab of peanut butter on a mouse trap works well, the mouse has to really get in there to get it and will release the trip spring. Keep in mind where there is one mouse there will be more! Try to find where they are coming in at,usually around the drain pipes in your kitchen or batroom, a mouse can squeeze through a spot not much larger than a dime. A rat can squeeze through a whole the size of a quarter. If you find an opening and it appears that it has been knawd poke a good sized piece of steel wool in the hole. They won't chew on that!

The little buggers are cute!!! but they are also destructive, invasive & they do carry disease. We use De-Con pellets. Just be sure to place them where pets & kids cannot get to them. This WILL quickly eliminate your mouse problem. Place the de-con where you have seen the mouse, or mouse droppings. behind the fridge, under the sink in the kitchen or bath, etc. Mice usually stick to the baseboards when moving through a house or ???
By the way, if you are worried about having to clean up the aftermath, don't. You more than likely won't even know it's working until you see there are no more mice. They won't smell & there is no mess.

Use a spring mouse trap with peanut butter as bait so it sticks to the trigger release. Mice prefer to run along the walls, rather than through the middle of a room. Place the traps perpendicular to the wall along the baseboards,or under a sink or dishwasher. Wherever you see evidence of a mouse.

there's several ways. Firstly, find out why the mouse came in .. i.e. food left lying round, poor cleanliness in your home etc and fix that problem. If the mouse stays there use a cotton pad to smear peppermint oil on areas where you know the mouse has been (mice are allergic to it) and if that doesn't work, set a trap. If all else fails, buy a cat !!

Mouse traps baited with peanut butter. There are these really easy-to-use plastic traps available at the hardware store...no need to buy the old fashioned wooden ones that might snap your finger off.
If you find more than one mouse, you need to look around to see where they are coming in. Mice are able to come in through some pretty small spaces. My mice came up 3 stories into my apt. through a hole in the wall under the kitchen sink.
Once you plug to hole and trap the mice...you're all set.

Step 1: Clean up the house! Any piles of clothing or junk in corners must go. Vacuum and sweep and make sure NO food is out and no crumbs on the ground. Why would he go to a trap if there's plenty lying around? Also, cleaning up will disrupt the critter's patterns and comfort zones, forcing it to go exploring, and exposing it to your preferred method of rodent-erradication!
Step 2: Choose a disposal method - cat, safetrap, snaptrap, sticky trap (my favorite). Remember the locations of traps and check them daily, not only to reduce the chance of the little guy suffering in a sticky trap or partially successful snaptrap, but so you don't get a stench!
Step 3: Get serious about keeping a clean place! Mice can get into darn near anywhere they want to, and if the neighbors have more cheetos under their couch than you do, they'll get the unwelcome visitors.

When we had mice, we used a trap. You put bait inside and the mouse goes in and is trapped so it can't get back out. It doesn't kill them so you can take them to a park or something and let them go. We got it at Home Depot.

First, buy a snake. Make sure it's big enough to eat the mouse, but too small to eat people.
Second, wait a couple days.
Third, buy a mongoose.
Fourth, wait a few days.
Fifth, buy mongoose poison. Or a jackal. I also hear falcons will eat them, but then you have to come up with something to kill the jackal or falcon off.
Honestly, if it were up to me, I'd just buy a mouse trap.

I think we're on to something here. We need to invent something to help all people with a mouse problem. Something cheap and reliable...something that you could use over and over. It would catch the mouse and keep it in one spot....like trapping it. Ooooo....I can just 'see' the bucks rolling in now!

Buy those little mouse pellets at Walmart in the yellow and brown box. They will die and drive up without leaving a bad smell.
