I am searching for a charcoal filter for my Koi Pond to clear the water along with Lava Rock, a spongy materia

The color of my water is a brown/greenish but I do not have string algae/ I think maybe I can get this at Wal-Mart. Thanks, Jo

what kind of filter do you have now? charcoal won't necessarily
clear the algae problem and be careful with the lava rock, it's used in swimming pool filters and is sometimes treated with chemicals
the main thing is to block the light, plant more plants, try to cover the surface of the pond 75% with plants
