I live in the Indianapolis area and due to COPD I've been forced to retire early .. still alive and well and full of energy though .. I would like to move someplace convenient to the midwest but still southern enough to lose a lot of the snow and ice .. would have to be economical (fixed income), close to a larger city for its nitelife and "family" activities. I'll be renting and prefer staying out of major apartment complexes. Any suggestions?

It looked like a BIG black ant and as I stepped on it tons of living babies escaped. Scared me to death, but my family says it can't happen. What type of spider can this happen in, and has anyone else had this happen? Thanks! :o)

I'm moving from Fargo ND to Portland OR in a few weeks. My husband and I are moving by ourselves with a rental truck. We aren't taking much furniture and buying new stuff when we get there (we are taking a recliner, an end table, a disassemblable desk, a dresser, and MAYBE the kitchen table if there is room in the truck). I also have to move two seperate cages of guinea pigs (boys and girls, seven total).

I've never been to Portland before...what do I need to know? We are moving to southern Portland, near Tigard, Tualatin, etc. and my husband will be working in Newberg.

Any tips for moving cross-country?

I live in the Oxford Grant Apts. of Penndel PA. Last night my roof caved in, hundreds of pounds of water gushed through the third and second floors into my floor. I awoke when the water began running onto my bed. This is the last in a long series of problems over a three year span. I'd like to bring attention to it and get some outside involvement. I've created a blog (oxfordgrantterrors.blogspot.com), what else should I do (other than move out, which I'm trying to do)

I am going to have a garage sale soon, and I have a lot nice, like new clothes that I'm going to put in it. I would like to get the most money I can for them, but I don't want to put too high of a price on them or they won't sell. I have seen a wide variety of prices on similiar items at other garage sales, some I thought were WAY overpriced. $10 for used jeans! What is the most you would pay for the following items? (Some are name brand like Levi, Abercromie, Gap and Tommy, but not all.) (Mens and womens)
Jeans
T-shirts, camis, tanks
Shorts
Fleece pullovers, sweaters, long sleeve shirts

Thanks so much in advance!

Have you ever heard of a fabric called Damask? It is used for making table cloths. Please answer if you've ever heard of it, or know of a place to get it, or can suggest something to try. THANKS!

The only reason I ask, is because I opened up a Yahoo! store with things I like, such as reproduction art of spiritual and religious icons, amongst other things. But I had never thought of decorating my home with it as well. Thank you.
