I live in a warm humid climate. Houses here are made of concrete NOT wood. Could this be termites? Should I call an exterminator or rip open the couch?

The Master Bedroom is 14x14 connected to a 10x5 bathroom and a 8x5 closet. So that is 290sq ft of a 1000 sqft condo.

We have a small humidity guage in the bedroom that normally reads 60% humidity, but this increases to 75% after the shower is used twice.

As long as the bedroom door is kept closed, do we need a dehumidifier that is large enough to handle the 290sq ft or does it really need capacity to handle the entire 1000sq ft?

The condo is kept at 75 degrees between the hours of 5:30pm-7:30am, but is kept at 80 degrees between 7:30am-5:30pm.

What size Pint Capacity dehumidifier do we need based on these facts? Thank you!!!

I hate the flies that invade my flat so I'm going to buy a carnivorous plant to chomp them up. The most common choice is the Venus Fly Trap but is it the most effective? Which carnivorous plant is the best at attracting flies (as opposed to other insects)?

They can help you save on heating and cooling costs. Also, exterior painting and roofing are't needed.

We live in Texas, and our electric bill jumped from $178 to $352 in ONE MONTH, and we've done everything in our power to conserve. Is it not enough that we're being gouged at the pumps? Is anyone else here having to pull funds from their grocery budget to pay their electric bill?

You usually see this material the most in a silver color. It is used to cover the wire stems. You see this used alot with wire stems used in decorating with mercury glass ball ornaments. What exactly is this material and where can it be purchased?

I live on a Caribbean Island and I'm sick and tired of these land crabs that keep coming into my house. They are so small, that the only way I can detect them is when they scurry across the floor at night. I have no idea where they are coming from lately, and I don't want them in my bed. How do I get rid of them before a REALLY big one comes knocking. Open ideas and experiences are welcome.
