I don't know if this works or not,its just a suggestion...anyway, white spirits do a great job of cleaning pretty much everything so maybe it's worth a go?

Use DAWN dishwashing liquid. Mix a lot of it with water and pour it on and let it sit for a while. Do it a few times if need be. Then hose it off. Only DAWN will work. It cuts grease that regular dishwashing liquid won't. If it's a big oil spill, you could pour some kitty litter on it first to soak the oil up. The DAWN is for getting rid of oil that's soaked into the stone.

How about what you would use if you got the same type of oil on your clothes? And Dawn dish detergent cuts through grease. It works on tough clothing stains. I'd try to pour some on the paving and then scrub with a brush. Rinse and repeat.

um I am not 100% sure if this will work after the oil has "dried" but have you tried kitty-cat litter? And then once it's "soaked" up move it a round a little bit and let it sit for about 3-4 hours then sweep up. And then if that doesnt work get a pressure washer =)

If you pop along to your local DIY store they will sell the Chemicals you need to do this.

They are normally sold for use with Pressure washers, but you can dilute them yourself and apply manually. Just make sure you wear the appropiate goggles and gloves if the label instructs you to do so.
