I have a rental property that was built in 1948 without dryer connection. To add the dryer hookup, we need to update the breaker box to accommodate the 220v line, which we already hired a licensed electrician to do. After this, I guess we just need to dig a hole in the wall to drain the water out. Can this be done by DIY and how to do it?

We have just switched our central heating on for the first time this winter and none of the radiators in the house are working, upstairs or down.

We have gas central heating, but not one of those boilers which fires when you need water (not sure what it is called).

Also, none of the radiators have points to bleed them at. They have a temperature control at one end and a random one at the other which doesn't seem to do anything.

Help?

I have to trim some branches off a tree that might cause some problems with my roof shingles. The tree is on the corner of the house, the main electrical feed comes into the mast in this area as well. The wires are insulated, so is there any real danger there if I happen to accidentaly come in contact with them? By all means I'd try to stay away, but it is a tricky area...

How do I check and Change freon on my heat pump?

2007-01-23 07:10:37 · 6 answers · asked by Dirk M 1

My heat pump, stopped blowing warm air. The Blue Light, was on, and my house was getting colder. So I turned it up to 80 degrees. My house, still was getting colder. There was still air coming through my vents, but it was cold air. So I went outside, to look at my Unit, and it wasn't even running.

So, I thought maybe it will work in A/C mode, I turned it to A/C mode, and the outside unit, still will not come on. Can someone help?

Which one do u think is better. Home Depot to me seems very dirty and the air is so heavy. Lowes on the other hand is very clean and the air feels like it is cleaned. For those who do not agree with me please go to both home improvment centers and pick up something from both and then view ur hands and will see what I mean.

hi,

i'm very concerned. i am a renter & my bathroom ceiling (which is stucco) is full of black mold spots. whenever i shower i use the exhaust fan, keep the bathroom door open, etc. i do not have a bathroom window that opens (glass block window).

tried to scrub the mold of the ceiling many times using a brush, but the ceiling is stucco & the mold just keeps coming back. used tilex, many other products to no avail. lately new spots have been cropping up at a fast rate & i'm getting very scared. am i just freaking out? i've heard so many things about black mold & i am concerned for my family. phoned the landlord today to discuss & am waiting for a reply.

any suggestions would be helpful.

My Builder has just finished putting in a new double glazed window. Because it is smaller the surround is showing the old timber. He has pointed out that you cannot plaster over this as it will not take properly. I want a nice flat finish, not architrave.
Any suggestions or products I can use for a finish other than plaster. Thank you.

We have a very long dirt driveway that is too expensive to pave. Right now there are quite a few potholes. What should I use to fill the holes and prevent them from coming back? Thanks.

Any help would be much appreciated.
The problem is that sometimes randomly the radiators in my house only seem to be warm, not even close to hot even when I have the boiler set to maximum but other times they're really really hot-too hot to touch, there seems to be no pattern to this, any ideas?
