You may also check to see if the paint MFG has a website, and if so, most post their MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for their products...

I painted the nursery (which include primer and a pair of coats of latex paint) at the same time as i become about 8 months pregnant, and my son is positive. i purchased a particular masks to keep out paint fumes from the homestead Depot, and that i smelled no longer something. I also kept the window open to air the room out (even with the very shown actuality that it become January in Michigan, lol). be careful once you should step on a ladder or step stool...many women folk lose their midsection of gravity at the same time as they're pregnant, and are liable to be wobbly and fall plenty.

Latex paint fumes are non-toxic. Once the fresh paint is thoroughly dry (I'd give it 24 hours) it will be safe for the baby and residual smell should be gone but to be sure, thoroughly ventillate the room as well.
