I have to move it to lay a floor but it weighs a tonne. Any tips on emptying and refilling it or tricks to move it without emptying it appreciated.

I've broke the lid to my standard size crock pot, with removable liner. The warming part still works. Has anyone discovered a use for either of these items?

I have a house and the brick walls have these long bolts and big wooden washers that are 1x4. The long bolt goes through the wall, and these ugly wooden washers, that are on here to keep the bricks together are here.

Is there another method I could use to stop or repsir the cracks in the brick walls, by removing these things and doing something else?

I don't want the walls to fall down, but I want to repair them differently to make them nicer looking. Outside you can see the obvious cracks/separation of the bricks.

It is awful to look at them in my bedroom & kitchen. They ruin the room's appeal.

Last night I was getting ready to cook something in my microwave when it made a funny buzzing noise. Now the light and control buttons still work, but nothing that I put in there will cook at all, not even microwave popcorn. I have one of those microwaves that is installed above my stove, so I am worried about the cost of replacing it partly because it looks like I will have to also have it installed. Is it easy to install one of these types, or does an appliance man usually do it?

I have an old treadmill that finally died. Before I buy a new one, what's the best way to get rid of the old one that's big and heavy? It's too big to fit in the trash bin and I don't have a truck to haul it away?

turned it on. Several minutes later we realized that one of the bathrooms and two of the bedrooms were without power. I checked the reset button in the bathroom and it does not want to reset. Do these things go bad?

I replaced the porch light and it works fine but the other rooms are still without power. I checked all the breakers and they all seemed to be fine. I reset them just to make sure they were not tripped.

Then an even more mysterious thing happened. We have two floodlights over our garage that have never worked since we moved into the house 7 months ago. Now they are on, but the bathroom and bedrooms are still without power.

I checked every other reset button I could find in case they were linked but all of the other reset buttons seemed fine.

Perhaps, these things are unrelated but I'm not sure. Any advice?

I unhooked the button and made sure the wires were separated, but it continued to ring. I had to take the chime unit off the wall and disconnect the wires to stop the ringing. My fear is that there is something in my attic that caused the electrical connection to be made and caused the chime to continue ringing. I've only got one button. Anyone have any ideas?

There was a fire in the kitchen today. Luckily no one was hurt but a pot is completely gone and the smell of smoke is all over the house. It is pretty strong. I tried opening all the windows but the smell is still here. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm in the process of constructing an addition to my home. unfortunatly most of my home was exposed to moisture for a period of time. Now my home is sealed with a roof and I'm in the process of drying it out. The house is completely gutted down to the studs and I have mold in some areas including the crawl space. I had a restoration company take a look at it but am certain they will want to charge an arm and a leg. I'm not affraid of getting my hands dirty, what should I do?

The house is fully skirted The floor joists are approximately. 16" from grade. The temp has been 20's and 30's. The floors seem extremely cold, which seems to cool the inside air rapidly. Will insulating cause a condensation problem? Is there another solution?
