Don't think you can get away with not emptying it. We emptied ours out the window but it depends on where you live. You might have to run a hose from the bladder to the bathtub to drain it.

Sorry, you will have to empty and re-fill... Filled it will weigh approximately 1700 lbs for a Queen or 21000 lbs for a King... (these are for the wood frame type mattresses) The soft-side style units weigh less...
An electric pump is available for rent at most rental places or a waterbed store in your area may let you borrow one.. There are waterbed service companies located in some areas, but it is not that hard to do it yourself..... The electric is probably the quickest... hook up the hose and is should be done in about 15 minutes for an All Water and 45 minutes for a waveless type bed...
You can also get the hose adapter, faucet converter and manual drain pumps in a 'fill and drain kit' at a waterbed store, ebay, or direct from a waterbed manufacturer... This method could take a couple of hours...
Be sure to add waterbed conditioner when you re-fill the mattress..
and super important.. if you have a waveless mattress.. the one with a fiber insert.. do not let the fiber shift to the side or end... try and fold the bed as is empties and keep the fiber unit laying out flat.. it will save you a ton of nightmares when you go to re-fill it...

You definately have to empty the water out of the waterbed before you can move it. There is a piece that should have come with the mattress that will allow a connection between the bed and a garden hose. You then have several possibilities for draining, let it siphon out (takes a long time and may not get all the water out, attach a pump (you'll need to watch it so you don't burn up the pump), or they also have a venturi pump that can attach to a sink and help pump out the water.
After you empty the mattress, you will probably have to disassemble the bed. Also, remember to unplug your heater before you start.

There are none! You have to empty it,just siphon off the water with a water hose run it outside to drain, roll the matress up like a jelly roll from the opposite end of the drain to get all the water out and not mess up the liner this is important because if you wad up the liner (the stuff inside that makes it not slosh around) it will take forever to readjust, get another person to help you and TA DA!

Go to a store that actually sells waterbeds. They will have the draining system that you will need. They should actually have two of them. One that you would just hook up to a hose and drain outside, the other would be the kind that you would hook up to a faucet, inside or outside, and use the water force to empty the bed. It will have the directions to do it properly inside. I had a waterbed and I used the kind that you use a faucet to assist and it worked great. I think that it was around $15 but that was like 12 years ago.

with alot of hard work and patience, when ours got a leak we used a siphon to empty it, an automatic one would be alot easier to do it with but a normal one will work just as well from their we just emptied the water into a bucket and chucked it out the window, for filling it when we originally got it we put the hose through the bedroom window to fill it. If its a heated one remember to put the heated mat thing down before filling it.

Well darlin', water weighs about 8 pounds per gallon. Depending on the size of the waterbed, it can contain well over 50 gallons. Let's do the math: 50 gals.(min) times 8lbs.=400 lbs. This is not a solid, either. I can't think of any physical means of moving it without draining it.

There is no way you will move it without emtying it. Just take a garden hose and stick it into the fill-hole. Siphon the water out into the shower, bathtub, or outside... Once that's done (or mostly done, you can take the bed apart and move it....

It was said that the plastic particles tend to detach from the bottle and mix themselves into the water , I have refilled the bottles 2-3 times before tossing it out .
