I don't know how to kill it but you may want to consider leaving it. Nothing else will usually thrive where moss does. It is highly prized in Japanese gardens.

Scrape off as much of the moss as possible with the back of a spade, (or use a power washer) and scrub the area with a solution of Jeyes Fluid. If you want to avoid using chemicals, try pouring boiling water on the area (just be careful doing this in frosty conditions as you could end up with a skating rink).

I had the same problem outside my house. A friend told me to "water" the moss with boiling water. That killed it - the moss became totally dry after some days, and was easy to remove with a broom.
Much more environmentally friendly than weed killers :)

Jeyes Fluid is pretty good
some of the propriatory moss killers work OK
I'd be very carefull about using bleach, especially on man made surfaces (some of which may stain/change colour if bleached)

A steam cleaner and a plastic scrubbing brush. Bleach and acid will both eat into concrete.

why dont you go and swallow a pill,
i was always told its best not to kill
pyscologically i'm at a loss
with people like you, and your hatred for moss
it lives and breathes, like you and me
so leave it alone and pick on a tree

I'm with MALCOMC....Just spray it with weed killer. I have done this around the flagstone wall around my pool and it works very well.
