hi,

i'm very concerned. i am a renter & my bathroom ceiling (which is stucco) is full of black mold spots. whenever i shower i use the exhaust fan, keep the bathroom door open, etc. i do not have a bathroom window that opens (glass block window).

tried to scrub the mold of the ceiling many times using a brush, but the ceiling is stucco & the mold just keeps coming back. used tilex, many other products to no avail. lately new spots have been cropping up at a fast rate & i'm getting very scared. am i just freaking out? i've heard so many things about black mold & i am concerned for my family. phoned the landlord today to discuss & am waiting for a reply.

any suggestions would be helpful.

you gotta scrape the stucco off and use a paint called kilz. it kills the mold and covers any spores that are left. then re apply the stucco adding a another layer of kilz on top of that. is it stucco or just the chalky ceiling crap? either way, you need to ventilate the moisture out of the bathroom to keep it realitvely dry

They are expensive but I would recomend an EcoQuest Fresh Air Purifier. They have a "Sanatize" option witch emits high amounts of Ozone for however long you want. It kills mold. If black mold is a problem on your ceiling though, chances are it could be worse under the ceiling/walls and you just can't see it. Black mold can cause sicknesses as well so I would above all recommend you call a professional. Good Luck.

my wife and I had the same problem when we moved into our condo. Apparently buying a home in summer was the reason the leak in the roof wasnt visable. Come winter, we had a big storm and, I woke up went into the hall way and it was a puddle. after moving furniture and things i saw behind a dresser a wall full of black mold. my wife was expecting so we needed to clean this up. We had to get a mold company to tear out all the dry wall and framing that had beed exposed to the mold. they taped up the room and sprayed chemicals, ran test on the air, the whole thing took about 5 days. were told the mold is very toxic and can even make people sick enough to die.
hope you find my experience helpfull.

I know most stucco ceilings are painted with a water base paint. Try painting with oil base. That way the mold cant stick to it.

Oh no you do no longer. The deus ex machina is a cop-out, and intensely quite often makes for a disappointing finishing. this is seen as between the WORST undemanding approaches to end a artwork of fiction, actual. think of this. you have spent an entire e book analyzing a attractive and thrilling tale a pair of guy scuffling with for his rights. he's long gone up against secret companies, assassins, and the government itself. the appropriate area of the e book comes, the climax - he's trapped on the roof of a construction, government brokers cornering him on the sting with a dozen weapons experienced on his heart, and you're arranged to work out him combat an extremely final desperate conflict it particularly is beneficial to blow you away... yet what's this? the government is announcing "You fought so properly, we are purely going to enable you pass. take exhilaration on your freedom." and then the brokers stroll away and the e book ends. does no longer that be disappointing? the whole component of a plot is substitute - you opt to work out the character substitute to triumph over the appropriate concern. If on the top he purely has his happy finishing surpassed to him, you will be particularly unimpressed. So my advice - have the character triumph over those impossible odds on the top of the story by his or her very own efforts, and actual stay faraway from the deus ex machina. ;) EDIT: Hmm, I do see your concern. ok - could this is a danger so which you may faux he died? Like, have been the situations surrounding the death suspicious or uncertain adequate which you would be waiting to have a dramatic financial disaster finishing someplace the place he without notice looks, and then interior the subsequent financial disaster he info how he survived? maybe he faked his death, or maybe some accident occurred that enable him stay. with out greater info, i do no longer comprehend how else that might actually assist you. yet greater advice - do no longer make it look like it got here out of nowhere. attempt to contain a minimum of one little element back interior the death scene (if there is one) that would desire to alert an extremely sharp-eyed reader to the undeniable fact that he's extremely alive. i could avert the "all purely a dream" and "twin brother" recommendations, although, they are the two very cliche.
