my furnace is constantly running but only cold air... it has an automatic pilot light, i turned off all power and followed the directions for reseting it... still having same problem. the error light is telling me that its the limit switch, is this something that can be a do it yourself replacement?? i found the switch and it is just a little part that has 2 purple wires bolted to the side of the furnace.... please any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!

I'm renting a cottage in Edinboro, PA for the school year and we're right on the snow blet (just got a 6 inches of snow last night) and the cottage was renovated to live in, but all the heating vents are located on the ceilling (Heat rises, not falls). So my head is always warm but everything else is always freezing. I was just wondering, whats a good way to circulate the heat in the house?

every morning I am getting excessive condensation on the inside of double-glazed windows and on one particular 1st floor bedroom inside wall corner.
The house is mainly of stone construction and I am concerned this could be damp in the atmosphere that is causing the condensation.

Living in Texas, we had the A/C on last week and we need the heater on this week. It was blowing cool last week in the A/C position, but now it won't blow heat and it's freakin cold in the house. The pilot light is lit and I even turned the heat up to see if it would come on. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks

I installed small mosaic shower tiles floor to ceiling, grouted with stone tile grout and coated with 3 coats of sealer. After a while the grout appears to go an orange colour and signs of mildew appear in different lower tile places. I have cleaned it off and re sealed but it keeps coming back. Any suggestions

I am building a 3 foot wide wrought iron garden gate. I would like to bend some 1" 16 gauge tubing to go over the top of the gate. Any ideas how to do this at home without distorting the tubing or kinking it? I see gates all the time like this but unsure how they bend the tubing.

I was wondering in Asia, India and Europe, you turn the switch on by clicking it down instead of the way we do in US. I am wondering why in US it is opposite of the rest of the world?

My grandmother dropped a full size bar of soap down the toilet. I cannot see the bar of soap. So who knows where it roamed. She lied about it and said the toilet was just clogged. I tried a plunger but nothing. She finally told me tonight. Every time she flushes the water rises all the way to the top and has also overflowed onto the floor. Need help desperately. How do I get rid of the soap or melt it or something. Thank you.

A house I own has thick moss growing on the roof. What's the best way to get rid of it. I read scraping it off is not a good idea, and will damage the roof.
