i have a large propane tank which cost $200 to fill and never have used all the time as I heat with electrical forced air.
would i save alot if i used the propane all the time?

would installing a oil tank and heater save cost?

I would use all electric! That is what I have, and stay away from gas. I have a trane heat pump and a/c unit that heats or cools for an average of $100 a month for 1826 square feet.
I have used only proprane at another house in the past and it was a lot more expensive plus I still had an electric bill.

Heating with natural gas has not always been less expensive than electric. However, in today's market - natural gas is, by far, the better choice.

If you plan to stay in your home for a long period of time, installing a heater that would accept propane as its fuel source would be a smart investment as the prices of electricity continue to soar.

just to get it straight, stay away from the electric heating...its just darn expensive now.

we have natural gas and are really happy with it
