Hi,
I am adding electrical boxes to my addition. I would like to put one in a certain part of the room. The problem is that the stud that I would attach it too, has a shower on the other side of the wall. This sounds like a no-no, or is it ok.? Thanks for your help

I need a rebuilt or reconditioned Kohler Magnum 18 engine for my (American) YardPro garden tractor. Preferably in SE England. Alternatively someone who can repair these engines (cost effectively!).

My dining area light is on a dimmer (basic slide dimmer). The dimmer doesn't go from dark to light, it flickers as I slide it. It's really irritating b/c I have to slowly manipulate the switch until it gets to a spot that's "on".

My toilet continues to fill the tank beyond the overflow tube, long after flushing. By manually lifting the float arm the fill valve turns off but once I let go of the arm, you can hear the water filling again. WHat do i do?

We have nasty water and would like to invest in a water softener. We are a small family (just mom, dad, and baby boy). Any recommendations on a water softener? I was thinking about buying it at Lowe's and having them install it... I wonder how much installation would be? Thanks for the advice!

We have a ceiling fan with three light sockets attached. ONE of those sockets seems to burn out bulbs early. Filament bulbs last a few weeks, CFL bulbs have even shorted out! What is going on???
The other two sockets are fine. Those bulbs never burn out.

We have a level of 6.2 which I understand is just slightly high. We are trying to sell our house, so want to get it below the 4.0 suggested without putting any $ into it. We are looking for suggestions for making the house safer, of course, but want to do it ourself.
