I never fully understood the purpose of the holding tank in a well system. This is the tank with 28 PSI for 30/50 pressure switch that has the bladder in it. How does it come into play for the proper function of the well? thanks

Someone has written on paper placed directly on the top of a very nice piece of wood furniture, , "antique", and it has left the indentations of everything they wrote, imbedded into the wood. Is there anything I can do to remove these, and not have to refinish the whole top ?

Anyone know what are the rules and/or laws (if any) governing installing and maintaining electrical devices/fittings in UK by unqualified homeowners?
I have always "Done my own" but a friend told me the rules had changed recently, or are they about to change??

Any sites or info would be useful

I am in the middle of a home contruction. We are at the dry wall stage. Our contracters want us to use our newly installed furnace to dry the taping. However our subcontracter tells us that this may damage the furnace and we should use propane heaters.

Recently, my neighbor has put on a long piece of wood on our fence, but that wood is full of nails. I asked him why he added that on our fence, he said he wanted to stop the squirrels eating his plants. But I really don't agree with him as the squirrels are running from here and there all the time. I don't understand why he does that. I feel uncomfortable about his behavior. I don't know what i can do with that.
