I have a fridge freezer so the fridge part is on top. Recently where the 2 pull out box things at the bottom are, there is a pile of water. The fridge shuts properly and it is not overfilled so what's going on?

Does it have an `automatic` defrost button? If so have you pressed this by mistake? Or is the little drain hole blocked, so the liquid cannot drain out to evaporate? What is the temperature in side your fridge, is it cold enough? If not your thermostat may need replacing. Does the motor run(can you hear it running and cutting in and out?) If not then the compressor may have `gone up` If this is so then the fridge will not work, It can be replaced, but is quite an expensive repair, unless you have an expensive fridge that you want to keep, you may find it cheaper to buy another. In any case, you need to call in a refrigeration engineer to look at it. If it is under guarantee, contact the firm you purchased it from.

If it's a frost free fridge there might be a little hole at the bottom of the fridge underneath the drawer which is the outlet for the water and this may be blocked. I have an integral fridge and that's what happened to mine. It was blocked with a tiny piece of food and we wondered why it stank in there every time and why it was filling with water.

Or perhaps you have left the door very slightly ajar without realising causing it to defrost.

Hey it sounds like the temperature is turned down too low so the freezer at the top keeps melting and runing in to the bottom boxes. Try turning it to a colder setting and see if that helps. Also check the seal around the dor even a tiny little split or dent can make a difference.

it comes from the defrost cycle that runs once every 24 hours. But at the bottom of the fridge there is a hole for that water to drain away into a pan below the compressor. you need to find it and unplug the obstruction. run a wire or pipe cleaner into the hole or put a straw into it and blow hard. Look under the drawers for the drain.

THe overflow pipe is blocked.

This is a pipe that runs from the back of the freezer and takes the water from the auto defrost to the evaporation tank ( which is normally ontop of the compressor at the back.

The best solution is to defrost the freezer, empty it, turn it off for 12 hours, clean out the pipe ( you should be able to access the one at the back and blow up it ) and then re-start your freezer.

the little hole at the back of the fridge for self cleaning may be blocked off and therefore the water has no-where else to go. if u checked that you may need to ring a maintenance man to fix it
