I usually have rainwater overflowing from the down drain pipe, where it meets the drain to the buried soakaway about 20 feet away .This only happens on a heavy downpour and pours over the concrete footpath on to the garden. The concrete cover that seals the pipe to the drain has broke up and been missing for years and therefore does not stop leaves etc from entering and I have tried a small power washer down it to no avail.I do not know if it is just silted up or blocked.Any tips to avoid major expense of digging the garden up would be appreciated, as if I leave it too long it might affect the foundations.

I recently had problems with my B&S lawn mower engine where it would only run on full choke. I decided to put a carb kit in and now I cannot keep the engine running. To start the motor, I pour a small amount of gasoline in the carb. It runs until this runs out and then dies. I thought it was the fuel pump, but I have double checked the re-build on this and everything is correct. There is also gas up to the fuel pump. I believe this fuel pump runs off the crankcase vacuum, but I do not know how to test this. Any suggestions?? My grass is now 9" tall. Thanks for any advice.

I have a Goldstar Dehumidifier (bought in 2003). It stopped running yesterday. Even though I set the humidity control to MAX, it would not run either. But sometime it may run for 10 minutes, then shut down again for good. It never happened like this before. When it does run for 10 minutes, ,there is no hot air blow out.

There is one out hole on the trimmer. I started the string in the small hole on the orange spool and spun it until the spool was full leaving about 5 inches. I pulled the left over string into the notch and then out the trimmer hole. I slid the spool (notches side first) over the bump/tap button, it fit nicely. There are some grooved teeth on the spool inner hole and on the bump/tap button. I hear a snap and I can turn the spool, but it doens't seem to lock in place. I can reach in and still pull it out. If I try to start the device, the spool kicks right out. Is there a 3rd piece that is needed to lock this in place?

(A question my dad wants answered)

When I first got the lawn mower, it did great. Then I had to pull on the "cable" and then pull the coil string to get it to start. That worked for a while; then one day the mower shut off on me. I could not get it to start. My neighor put a new coil on it. It still wouldn't start. He brought the mower back while it was running but it wouldn't shut off when you let go of the kill-switch handle.

My question is: What's wrong and how do I fix it?

I have a 22" Toro Self-propelled Lawn mower and whenever I just normally push the lawnmower before I start it, the front wheels are locking up and I have to pull the drive cable back toward me to dis-engage the clutch it seems. It's really wierd. The self-propelled works perfect when I'm running the mower and all. I just can't determine why it's trying to engage when I'm just pushing it.

I lost a speciality drill bit that I used for drilling holes in plastic. It's old and I forgot where I bought it. It is approx. 5-6" long, has 2-3 spiral flutes which are sharp at one end and taper up to approx. 1/2 inch. I can't find one and I don't even know what it is called.

My parents are in their late 80's they just had a new unit put in their mobile home. They were told NOT to use the unit when it rains. It is very technical and they don't understand why. But it is 90 degrees in Sebring FL and it is raining and they said they can't take the heat. I don't know the company that put it in or the name of their unit. I just know my father told me the men told him NEVER to use his central air conditioning when it rains. I really need your help on this.
