I have a plant with purple leaves and purple roots. New leaves that grow are green and turn purple within a day or so. It seems like it can't be overwatered and loves the hot weather. Since the extremely hot weather has kicked in, the plant seems to flourish. It also blooms bright pink tubular flowers that only last for 1 day, but it takes several weeks for the buds to grow. I think the plan looks very unusual and has been very easy to grow. I really want to know what this plant is. I have search the internet and there are several plants w/ purple leaves and pink flowers but they are not my plant. Please help!!!!

The tractor is a 110 TLB. It has a backhoe attachment on the back. We are planning on doing all kinds of work such as land clearing, stump removal, leveling, bushhogging, septic tanks, etc. We don't want our names in the title, but we do live in Northern Arkansas in the Ozarks. I've seen alot of similar services with Tractor and Backhoe Services in the title. Is this good or does something else sound better. Any help would be great.

I have several plants like Dracaena (lucky bamboo), Venus Fly Trap, and an Orchid all of which require distilled water because they are sensitive to chlorine in tap water. I also Have several fish tanks that require me to use a water conditioner to remove the chlorine and chemicals so I was wondering if I can use conditioned water (not tank water) instead of distilled water to water these plants. I'm kind of tired of buying special water just for a few plants. I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried this.
Anyone have any opinions or facts about this idea?

Is there an online picture gallery of weeds so that I can look at the plant in my garden and compare it with the pictures? I think I know what some weeds look like, but I don't want to pull a good plant accidentally. Yes, I forgot what I planted in my garden.

I don't know what kind of roses they are, but there are only 2 layers of petals. They have been unbelievably healthy until last week. I noticed there were white stuff on the leaves and then they would turn yellow and brown then die and fall off. The top of the bushes are great, the new growth has just turned green but the bottoms are bare. I've picked up as much of the leaves as I could (mulch is around them) and started spraying them with a fungicide. No more white but the leaves are still turning brown and yellow and dieing. Am I doing the right things? Is there anything else I should do? If it helps at all I live in Florida. The sprinklers are set for 7am only every other day. Also some of the buds are really small and then die fast, right after blooming.

At the garden center the blooms were big and beautiful, that's why I bought them for their color and scent. Now they are small, some are nearly colorless. I planted them the proper way etc. I have Mister Lincoln, Voodoo, Black Magic, First Prize, Oklahoma and Tropicana. Please advise what to do. I have rubber mulch on top of the soil and wood mulch around the base of the bushes. I water every other day because it's so hot where I live. Almost 100 degrees daily. I don't know if it's my soil or what. I have the bushes against the house, my neighbors have theirs the same place and my other neighbor has hers in her front lawn along the edges --- all their roses are huge, colorful and beautiful. Mine are puny, tiny, colorless -- I'm embarrassed. They probably laugh at me. Sniff ...Sniff. All I wanted were beautiful roses just like them.

We have mostly weeds, and want to plant a lot of grass seeds, to try to crowd out the weeds. We probably need to dethatch, aerate, etc., then plant the seeds, then water frequently till the seeds sprout, and probably mow frequently to keep the weeds from growing back. We have a mower but nothing to dethatch or aerate or anything. We've heard of a power rake but don't know where to rent one or how to use it. Or what other tools should we rent or buy, and where we should get them?

Last night I was gathering squash blossoms to try frying for the first time and some were vibrating and I had no idea why. After they were fried & we began eating them, my husband opened one and there had been a bee inside (poor little bee)! Has this happened to anyone else?
