You really can't do anything about the ticks because there are way too many. For the most part ticks can't hurt you, but there are some that carry disease. I wouldn't be too alarmed though because it needs to stay in your skin for at least 12 hours before it can transmit the disease. Just make sure that you inspect yourself after spending time outside. They especially like to plant themselves where the elastic on your clothes are. Check around your sock line, under ware line, and bra line. Make sure you look under your arms and any creases you may have. Don't forget your head. I'm not telling you this to be afraid or that you will even find another tick, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Oh, removing a tick is simple. use a pair of tweezers to grab it behind the head and pull "straight" out being very careful not to squeeze the body.

You can use a pesticide call permethrin on your lawn thats a dirivative of a flower so its not a synthetic pesticide to take care of them. It can be found in a ready to spray form at home depot or lowes. YES they carry disease and NO it doesnt have to be on you for 12 hrs to transmit it to you. You dont want lyme disease...Its brutal and unfortunatly getting more common. One more thing, you do not have to have pets to have ticks in your yard but if you see strays chances are they will become a host for them. Get rid of the ticks

http://scottslawn.com

has a lawn spreader for ticks and fleas. We use it often and it worked for us. There are many brands. Ask at your local lawn service or nursery.

If you have a dog/dogs, nothing will help.

there are ticks everywhere there is no way to get a rid of them all you just have to check yourself every time you come back in the house to see if they are on you.
