Last night I was gathering squash blossoms to try frying for the first time and some were vibrating and I had no idea why. After they were fried & we began eating them, my husband opened one and there had been a bee inside (poor little bee)! Has this happened to anyone else?

No it's never happened to me but I did cook some broccoli once and worms crawled out. YUK!
I think a fried bee might taste better than boiled worm. Don't you?

YES! ......wxone29.......
I'm certain we both washed the items in question......that doesn't mean something doesn't get missed. Come on now...You must know the USDA allows a certain amount of insects in canned fruits and vegetables.

Poor bee! Fried while trying to gather pollen for the babies.

Funny though! Beware vibrating squash blossoms.

As a former chef and having use them for many recipes in the places I was a chef in, there more a garnish that an important flavour component, you can add leeks, onions like green onions, even make some nice croutons for a garnish.
