This plant grows in Georgia. I found it growing in gravel and in the open fields in poor soil-mostly clay and over limestone. I didn't see any flowers. It is fragrant, smells like an herb: kind of sweet, almost pine like. The leaves are slinder and pointed with a soft fuzzy underside. The roots are thick and kind of like wood, seems to root somewhat shallow. There is a main stalk which branches off and the branches (also fuzzy) are covered in leaves. Looks a lot like a bushy version of fleabane. Leaves hands sticky! Grows to a foot/foot and a half tall, grows in groups and individually.

On a whim, I planted about 10 Canary Island Date Palm seeds and 5 of them have sprouted and have been growing like crazy in my yard - all within a 1 foot sqare area. Should I dig up 4 of the 5 so that 1 will grow by itself or should I let the 5 sprouts 'fight it out'? I want the best odds of growing a tree and don't care if 4 of them don't make it.

Thank you!

I'm told the weed is Basket Grass with small pointed oval leaves, but I can't find anything that kills it and doesn't kill St.Augustine grass, which is the good grass in my yard.

I want to make a raised bed. I would like it too look deep, but dont really want to pay to fill it with dirt. Is there something else I can fill it with 1/2 way so it wont cost as much, since I wont be planting anything that deep? What do I need to do?
Thanks

I have tried Kentucky Blue grass, which seems to work and then the sun kills it. I water my grass daily, and it still doesn't seem to work. Please help!

I am very VERY new to gardening. This morning I bought five beautiful hydrangeas and I've spent ALL DAY preparing the beds to be planted. In doing this, I noticed that this area doesn't EVER receive what I would call direct sunlight. I really want to plant them there, will they work?

My mother's birthday is Friday. I would like to get her a plant for her backyard. What is a pretty plant or bush that I could get her that will come back every year and that is ok to plant this late in the summer. She lives in Oklahoma if that matters. Thanks.

I live in central FL I just bought this house that has mature boxwood (or family)shrubs. I want to move them. I'm an idiot when it comes to this sort of thing so detailed instructions will help immensely. Is there a certain time of year? Prune first?

When the caterpillars emerge you'll have holes in the leaves of your plants, but you'll get to watch a very beautiful and fascinating process unfold.
