has anyone had a similar experience? another one from the same batch is almost as big but it stopped flowering through the winter. Fair enough they are in a sheltered spot but they are turning into shrubs not plants lol.

Me and my husband are buying a house in the next few weeks. Many of the properties we are looking at don't have fenced backyards or they are too short (we have athletic large dogs). The dogs won't be outside under supervised. We need to be able to sell the house ASAP in 4 years when I'm done with vet school, so what would be the best ROI on fencing: chain link or wood privacy? I'm also considering bamboo, but not sure how that would hold up. None of the properties seem to have restrictions on wood privacy vs. chain link.

I was watching a segment on sports and the groundskeepers said the best way to keep your lawn green is mow your lawn once a day and keep adjusting the blade height.

Ive just brought a house with a garden (never had one before - hense the question!), I have a small patch in the corner that doesn't get any sunlight, and as a result the grass has almost disappeared.
I want to put a bench there and some shingle, however I wouldnt mind having a few large pot plants there also, is there any that can survive without sunlight?
Thanks

Hope someone can identify these flowers. We planted some mixed wild flower seeds and these were some that came up. Transplanted them as they were being smothered by the others. They are red, pink, and purple flowers and they are about 15" to 20" tall so far. Here are some links to pics.
Thanks.

They are planning to build houses on the ground adjacent to my house. During the building of these houses they will be destroying a lovely mature tree that has stood there for many years.

Is it possible to get a preservation order on the tree and if so is there any rules and regulations attached to the preservation order?

The tree in question is about 30ft tall and has a trunk girth of approx 3-4ft.

I live in the oldest street in a village not a town.
