I've heard it is a good idea to take off limbs (suckers?) of tomatoes for better production. Is that true and if so would it also benefit my bell pepper plants as they have also become quite bushy.

Are annuals only last for a year, then the whole plant dies, or is it only the flower that dies? I'm going to plant annuals in my garden but I'm not sure if the entire plant will last for a year and then I have to plant again.

We have a slope in our backyard, and my husband does not want to mow on it anymore. He says he is going to put mulch on the slope this weekend, and I am saying we should plant trees and bushes first. Do you have experience with this, and can help?

I have just made small pond in my garden to attract frogs. Does any body have some ideas that I can use to maintain it properly and also attract frogs?

I live in Sydney, Australia so ideas related to this area/climate would be better but just general tips will do.

I have a problem with carpenter Bee's. I cannot sit on my back deck without them swooping down at me or hovering right in front of me as to say come and get me.

I have been trying to get them with a fly swatter or spraying them with household sprays. We have had an exterminator out twice in the last 2 years.

I know regular bee's will sting but I want to know how dangerous these critters are.

I don't know the name of the plant, but it has many long, green and white spiky leaves. I water it just a bit, every 2 days, when the earth in the pot turns from black color, to dark brown. I have been mixing a teaspoon of MiracleGro flower and plant food with the water. Approximately 2 weeks ago, black splotches began appearing on random leaves in random locations. I looked underneath the leaves which were also black (it seems to go through and through), but I did not see any bugs. Could this be a fungus of some sort? What should I do?
