My landlord had a guy come over and scrape the paint off the front of our second story. He used a tarp, but somehow managed to get the scrapings ALL OVER the front yard and flower beds. It has rained multiple times, but the chips remain. How do I get rid of them, pick up each piece? There're hundreds! Thanks!

About a month ago we bought 5 orchid plants, unfortunately we kept them in quite a dark spot and didn't feed them. All the flowers dropped off and some of their leaves turned yellow and dropped off. We have now moved them to a sunnier spot and are feeding them on orchid food. Do we need to trim the dead stem to get them flowering again and how often do we need to feed them? They had gorgeous flowers so any help anyone could give to get them flowering again would be greatly appreciated.

I have a very wide but short garden with a wall the length of a garage which is a bit of an eyesore. I would like to put some climbing plants on it but am worried about damaging the foundations. I look forward to your comments.

Our social service agency has full-spectrum lighting, so I think that would be good for plants. The lights are on in my small office 8-12 hours a day, but not on weekends. Should I be prepared to move plants to windows on the weekend? What plants would people recommend? The less work, the better.

I asked a question a couple of hours ago about roses and since the answer seems to be that I should wait till Fall to plant them...I thought I'd try other flowers. I live in Central California and it's hot (100+) temps right now but my house and yard are surrounded completely by huge trees. This blocks almost all of the heat but still allows it to be bright and sunny. I'm in zone 9. Does anybody know of flowers that could be planted right now and survive...I'm interested in annual bloomers. Thanks!

I have been trying to collect flower seeds for the first time over the past month, and it is a tedious job! Is there an easier way I can go about getting the seeds out of the pods and separating the hulls? Any advice would be appreciated.

Gnats/Fruitflies! I make sure nothing is left out, especially fruit. They dive bomb into my face & try to get into my mouth, nose, ears or eyes. Especially while on the computer; they're attracted to the light (& me). I tried a bowl of Apple Vinegar with a few drops of dishwashing detergent on my table like someone suggested & it works kinda ok but the house smells like sh....!! No air freshener, even the plug in with fan, works. Help guys ?

I have a 100' fir tree in my yard that has pitch pouring out of it to the point that it's spreading onto the ground. I've been told that the bark is cracked, not the actual tree. Should I have it cut down?
