need identification on an insect it flew into my hair and either bit or stung me . it is black aprox 1 inch lp

has tan spot on each wing its black aprox. 1 inch long small head

I had these flys hatching in my shed they were black, long and thin with long stinging tails they were about an inch long. I thought they were horse flys but when I looked it up, these are different. Never seen these before.
