My crimson beauty(the red one) is doing well, but does anybody know why the striped beauties are not doing anything. They've had no flowers and very little growth. Do these have different needs than regular cannas? What do you think could be wrong?

here is the link to a video of them: http://youtube.com/watch?v=F1g5iejPuyQ

I am trying to get moss to grow on my topiaries. It seems that overnight the moss died. I live in Illinois and it has been in the upper 80's. I have them in direct sunlight. I dont really have any shady areas because I live in a brand new house. How can I keep them green and not brown. Also I dont want them to die. Any help would be appricated.

Are there the same numbers of organically raised honeybee populations evaporating? What must the antibiotics be doing to our main pollinator? I also wonder if the transporting of their hives to different farms again and again isn't upsetting them.
I am very interested in the latest findings.

I purchased a house this past winter built in 1930. Today I discovered that one of my massive trees in the back yard has loads of what appear to be raspberries. Some appear darker and could be blackberries. This tree is very large. What do you think I have and are these berries edible? I live in CT and they are just turning color now.

I made a wonderful garden bed, with all sorts of ornamental, and bird bath, and decorative flowers. It's flourishing quite well. I have about six feeders with different kind's of bird food in it. I have wood chips on top of the soil, in it I just have spread out some seeds that came in packages. Now I wonder what to do with the shady area, that lies there openly. Any ideas what could grow there? I live in Northern Utah.

O.k. My mom has a box garden on our back porch. Her Green onions that she had planed, grew just fine, but when she pulled them, the Onions were soft. Is this cause from to much water?! And if so[or not] how often should you water Green Onions?!

I made my own hanging baskets about 2-3 weeks ago with very basic plant like inpatients and petunias and the plants are still green but most of the flowers died. Will more flowers bloom or are they done? I thought I was watering them accordingly but we did have a major heat wave for a couple of days last week and recently it's been a bit cooler.
