We're thinking about buying a snowblower/thrower for this winter as we no longer have a truck with a plow on it. You all gave us some good lawn mower suggestions. So, what is the best brand and/or model in the reasonable price range?

Does anyone have a good method to keep the "sucker" shoots from growing at the base of their trees/shubs? We always have a plethora of them and it is a hassle to keep them controlled! We have sprayed Roundup at the bases and it helps somewhat, but it is a continuing effort.

We are having a small vegetable patch as part of our determination to 'go green'. However we are not experienced gardeners and would welcome any tips.
Thank you

This fall and next spring, I'm going to be planting a garden close to a screened-in porch, and I'd like to fill it with as many aromatic flowers as possible. Gardenias and Jasmine are my favorite scents, but I'm having a hard time thinking of others! Any ideas? The area covers everything from early morning sun/rest-of-the-day shade to full sun.

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

I just planted two trees this spring and they have something white and moldy looking on the branches and leaves. I don't know if it's normal or a disease/bug infestation.
