the bathtub is in good condition but someone did something to the surface. It is yellow so I want to paint it. I really would like to paint it a color instead of white too. Ideas for me please. Already putting in an intire bathroom so I would like to salvage this tub.

Ideally the planks will run parallel with the hallway until it makes the turn. I would then like the planks to also run parallel with the hall after the turn. Is there a transition piece to use?

we are tiling a bathroom floor and need to tile around a pedistal and a toilet, we dont want to lift them to tile under them as the wall around the sink basin and toilet has been tiled. we have the usual tools for this job but is there a tool that will give a perfect cut around the edge of the basins?

Husband and I are very handy around the house. We've never done windows though....How difficult a project would this be?

We installed all the hardwood floor in our house. We've done the tile in the kitchen and bathrooms. Not afraid of hard work, but kinda scared to pull a window out and have a huge whole in the house! Thanks for the help.

Do I add up the transformer totals and then divide by 230v even though they are 12v transformers?

I accidentally dropped a ballpoint pen in my toilet and now it's clogging up. I tried calling a plumber to see how much it would cost to get it fixed and was told $100+ if it went well and like $300 if it didn't. This seemed a bit outrageous to me for such a simply problem, so I was wondering if there was a way I could do it myself. A plunger doesn't seem to be getting the job done. Any ideas?

Ok i saw this show on HGTV , called Small spaces Big Idea , there was a girl who had a studio and in order to make more space she had this thing that looked like a huge cabinet with 2 doors when she opened it her bed came out . I LOVED this considering that i have a studio apt and it would be a space saver . i looked it up online but there are selling them for $900+ which is to expensive for my budget. Any ideas on how i would be able to build one , my husband is very handy and we would like to know if this is possible to build it looks pretty straight forward , we just need a plan or something ......... help

How can I ask for this without sounding like a fool, and who are going to be the best people to ring up? Glazers or something along the plastic making lines?

One of the silliest questions on here i'd imagine, I know this already so don't bother posting that as a reply.

I am trying to find a film that NOBODY(i have nosey neighbors) can see through, even at night, however, I need to be able to see out-mainly because of the 'bad kids' in the neighborhood, and I have to be able to recognize their faces(they terrorize our farm animals). Anyway, I was looking at mirror privacy film, but my understanding is that people can look through the window at night. where would I get a film that I can see out of, but nobody can see in?

I missed the cold water ground because they used plastic tubing. I missed the concrete encased because the slab was poured already. Tried to get by with just a ground rod, AHJ would'nt accept. Never ran a ground ring before. Am I on the right path?

I have a garage under my house that I would love to turn into a finished basement. (It's slightly smaller than a 2 car garage, with two large garage doors.) I don't have much DIY experience, but I'm a quick learner. Is this something I could handle taking on myself, with the proper resources? Would I need to get a permit?

It's old old old tile......

the grout in between the tiles is almost level with the top of the tiles....and there is not much texture at all either......could I just use a spray adhesive and caulk/seal the outside edges??

We're not planning on being here much longer.....and I don't want to ruin the tile should the next owners decide they'd rather have that.......

Thanks for the help!
