I'm looking to install wood flooring. I've got two VERY active yellow labs. I've heard that laminate flooring is much more resistant to scratching by dog nails? Is that true and if so, what brand do you recommend. If not, how do I get hard wood to resist dog nails?

Can anybody suggest a cure for air getting into my central heating system? There just seems to be 1 or 2 Radiators that suffer really badly from getting warm at the bottom but filling up with air?

Answers much appreciated

Unable to fit whole tiles width ways across the hall. Very undecided as to have cut tiles at both edges or one edge only f both will look more even if one - less cutting!

the previous tenant in my apartment left a bunch of nail holes, and the plaster is all chipped around them. the walls are white. is there a product or a way to fill in the chips/holes without the wall ending up looking all splotchy? or do i have to ask the landlord to re-paint?

The basement is heated space with no exterior exit. We have fiberglass with Kraft paper on one side. Should the paper be facing the interior of the room or the exterior wall? Also the paper smells like tar? What is the best thing to do? Advice pleas. We do not intent to cover it with wallboard. Thanks!!

I made a memorial cross for a friend of mine who was killed in an ATV accident, and put a picture of him on it. I covered the picture on both sides with plastic and sealed it all the way around with hot glue. Somehow, the photo got wet and it was ruined. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can put a picture on his cross that will survive the weather? The cross is made of wood that has been spray painted.

I just added a second line on my home phone for a daughter bedroom, they connected it outside but I was going to wire the inside jax, I can't figure out how to pick the right wires. There are 2 wires coming in the box , each has a yellow, black green and red . The other phone jax are wired yellow (lt upper) black Rt upper
red lt lower and green rt lower. I want it to pick up the other line since all 4 wires are used in the primary phone how do I pick what goes where. The outside box has just red and green to each line where it plugs in to a jax and additional wires coming from the ground in are yet a differerent color than the inside wires... help
any ideas?
