Cool idea! Instead of decorating it with Christmas tree accessories like angels, stars, etc, you can change those accesorries with Halloween theme like little brooms, garlic, and put a little ghost doll or a witch on the top of the tree

I was a Christmas tree once for A Christmas Play The costume was made of Styrofoam.. the foam was thicker in the areas where the branches are attached. If you be a Christmas tree for Halloween that's a bit unusual traditionally but in some places witches did have trees. The original witches broom was the divining rod. People went to witches when they wanted to find a spot to dig a well! The witches also recommend a well digger! The diving rod got to look a lot less like a broom and more like a Y rod cause that was all that was really needed. Also Your idea can work cause Santa was really the Son of Satan and didn't want to be bad so became Santa. Taking the name of Claus becausing of the rewording of the 1st name.. Santa rewarded the good and played tricks on the bad.. Oct 31 was his birthday date! So you can say that if some one accuses you of mixing up Holidays!
Names Like Nicholas or St. Nich came about due to Commerialism!

Chicken wire makes for a light and easy to make frame work as well as being inexpensive. Then all you need is a hot glue gun and a ready supply of real evergreen limbs. Simply cut and glue pieces cut from 4 to 6 inch's to the wire and voila...you're a tree!!! Then come the decorations (No Glass) though I'd recommend buying some cheap ones as they're bound to get inadvertently banged up and you don't want to lose any of your personal ones. Oh, and don't forget a star for the top. A nice battery powered light-up model would be a sweet touch. Good luck!

Cool idea-just get a bunch of branches and tape them around you and then cover yourself with leaves so that all the taping doesn't show and hang lots of ornaments-get wild with it! And be sure to put a star on your head!
My friend went as a shower last year, so you can definitely pull off going as a Christmas tree.
