I have 2 puppies. My female will grow to about 150 pounds. My male about 180. I plan on putting posts in at half the normal distance. The fence near the side door will be 5 feet high. And I plan on making the back 6 feet high. I'm in Milwaukee and heard I have to go below the frost line. How deep would you dig?

I have a chimney which is utilized for a oil burning furnace. I know I can not add a woodburner to the same flue. If I wanted to install a woodburner, how big (diameter) does the flue have to be for each. And what kind of cost is it to install two flues into a pre-exsiting chimney? Or is it just worth installing a new metal chimney off the side of the house?

I want to make one of the shabby chic chandeliers for my dining room. I bought an old brass looking chandelier at a flea market that I would like to paint an off white color. My question is....can i spray paint this with a good quality spray paint? Should I lightly sand and prime it first or can i just paint it like it is?

I'm wanting to safely paint just the walls (not the ceiling) of a home stairwell. The stairwell goes up to a landing, then you make a u-turn to a second set of stairs that continues up to the second floor. The ceiling is fairly high and what I'm really concerned about is being able to mask the edges of the ceiling so the painting stops at the top edge of the wall. I've seen suggestions ranging from ladders with boards clamped across them to lifts to scaffolding.....what is safe and practical?

I am expanding a one door closet by expanding the opening and putting two bifold doors in. I understand how to build the header and how to put in the jack studs. The only concern I have is what finishing pieces should go on the jack studs. I am not talking about the molding, but what piece actually goes on the jack stud. Also, this is in a very old wall so the king stud is actually a real 2 x 4 where is the ones I buy now will be 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 or so. How do I make them flush?

This bathroom is long and small and he tells me it is so dismal in there he cant hardly use the toilet. There are no windows and you cannot hardly see yourself in the mirror because it is so dark. Now she plans on putting black marble look tile on the floor. What on the earth possessed her to do this. Would a rubber ducky help?
