Light and plug in in bathroom and light in bedrm just dimmed out and quit one day. They all previously worked. I checked breaker and all breakers are working(used tester) How do I find out the problem? Older House. Just 2 wires to plug in and the bdroom light has two wires also havent checked bathrm light yet?

I checked the light and plug and switch in bath with tester....no power, however the other light above sink works fine. The light and switch in bedrm has no power to it either but all plugs in bedroom work as well. what should i check next?

It sounds to me that you have a broken or burned off connection in that circut. Get an electrician as soon as possible as you have a serious safety issue here. The electrician should be able to trace the circut to the break.

You may have a wire or receptacle that has gone bad.Electric travels like a highway going to the fixtures,then back to the source.If one of the junctions fail,bad receptacle,wire came off,bad switch,The electric will stop at that point.It happened to me.I checked the breakers,ect.I found a bad receptacle in line that stopped the flow going to our bathroom.I replaced that and all is dandy. You have to check all the receps,switches with a tester.

Sounds like a short or failure in the wiring. If you don't know much about electrical hookups, I suggest a licensed electrician. Do it soon, you could have a fire hazard somewhere in the walls.
