Not sure if you want to put up a rug, or if you want to design something with jute. There are lots of books out on jute and bead wall hangings (from the 1960's when people used to do a lot of those). Usually the jute was white and made from thick cotton and you'd follow the directions and make a lot of knots and add colored beads but you could make some really nice styles, and add tassles. To complement it you could have a same style hanging basket wherein you'd put in a large plant with dark green leaves that would hang down. Look in a craft shop, some place like "Michaels" for the books and jute.

go to a wallpaper or fabric store and select a large piece of what you like. Attach to a dowel rod. Decide on what length looks best and snip it to size. Hang with a pretty rope hanger attached to each end of dowel. Add a tassel or 2.
