Does anyone have any advice on what to do? These jeans are literally caked with mud. I have 2 jobs and 2 young kids. I can barely keep up with the normal laundry and I don't want to ruin the washer. He claims he cannot scrape off the mud before he comes in. I don't think that even makes sense!!! What do you think?

I get some jars that soak in dishwater and the labels and glue slide right off. Some take a little elbow grease. I'm cool with that. But some come with a glue that seems to become even stronger the more I soak and the more I scrub. There MUST be some chemical or cleaning solution to get that kind of glue off. It's especially common on plastic jars. I have also tried soak the glue with glass cleaner, kitchen cleaner, and have even tried oven cleaner. Please help. I HATE to throw jars in the landfill.

By "safely," I mean without clogging the toilet or anything like that.

I would like to know which cleaning service you found to be better. I currently have Cleaning Authority, but am considering switching over to Merry Maids. I wanted to find out which is better from someone who has used both companys.

I tried naptha-something (ligher fluid) and they smell good but are still stained. I'm snowed in for several days and have everything in my 72 hour kit except dishwasher detergent.

I'm not exactly in the throes of death, but I would like some clean dishes to eat off of.

Here's a list of some of the items I have that might make good candidates: Could you give some advice or recipe for detergent? (machine wash, not hand dish soap.)

1. Lots of clorox.
2. salt
3. pepper.
4. Hand soap ( several bars, some liquid)
5. dandruff shampoo, shampoo/conditoner (other brand)
6. Lighter fluid.
7. canned heat.
8. one kitten (Just kidding!)
9. Honey (lots of it.)
10. Canola Oil.
11. Peanut butter - lots of it.
12. saline nasal spray 3 ounces.
13. waterless cat-bath.
14. Foam carpet refresher - Super pet!
15. Elmer's glue.
16. Pepto-bismol
17. 650 ml of gin. (mostly commited to moe important uses.)

If you're going to be sarcastic, at least give SOMETHING useful!

My mother has used nothing but the Original Palmolive for almost 30+ years; since before I was born lol. Once in a blue moon she would buy Joy or Dawn but that's usually when the store was out of Palmolive that day.

Do you use the same dish liquid or do you rotate?

I am just wondering what is the best ratio of vinegar to water for a multipurpose cleaning solution. I have seen everything from half and half to 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. I use it to clean sinks, counters and in the bathroom. Is there a certain strength it needs to be to kill germs, bacteria and mold?
