To freshen them up & to kill germs on them. Even though we should be clean when we use them bacteria thrive on growing in warm moist places, towels get moist hence the need to wash them.

Because everything eventually has bacterial on it, especially since towels are left damp after we shower. The human body gives off bacteria onto the towel so it's just a good idea to wash them and also millions of dead skin comes of humans all the time, so it is just cleaner to do so!

sometimes not all bits you wash your body becomes clean...i mean some parts of you body might of have infection, dead skin and other things that y u must wash ure bath towels before use again. and germs spread REALLY quik even though u have clean air or clean body..they will stay spread. and once youve have a damp towel and leave it to dry..it will stink..anything will stink if the object becomes wet and it dries.

Even after a bath or shower we still carry bacteria on our skin, that's what gives used towels the nasty smell they have, and why they should be washed at as high temperature as possible.

It's the water we get on the towels, which causes them to get a musty smell after a while (much like leaving wet, recently-washed laundry in the machine for days without drying it)

You might be but the towels almost certainly are not (dead skin, soap that hasn't quite been washed off, bit of dandruff from your hair. Need I go on?)

because the damp conditions and skincells promote a perfect breeding ground for bacteria making the towels unhygenic and stinky! :-)

The towell gets wet then it gets nasty if you don't wash it.

because you still got to dry your a=s with them and that ain't pretty when you think about the poop holeymoley when you dry your face now come on would you dry your face with your, a= holeymoley after a while you would stink of a=s sweat yuk just like Borat and dead a=s skin on your mush and dead skin from your fore///skin yuk you would in the end smell of bell end and a=s gas for aftershave yum you will be popular matey moo

When you towel off,also the dead skin goes with it.
