i took a couple suggestions, i first wiped it with a few wet wipes all over then i took baking soda and made it into a very dry paste and rubbed that on the most stained spots using a baby wipe.
Worked great!

Dust it with some baking soda or baby powder to remove surface dirt. Let is sit 20 minutes or so, then rub vigorously with a rough towed. This will get smells out and clean off surface dirt.

I watched a cleaning show where they cleaned stuffed animals. Use a mild soap like dove or baby shampoo, then dip a cloth in it and wring well. Then start washing all over until it is clean. Wiper off with clear water, again making sure your cloth is wrung well, then dry with a towel. They come out spotless, and they smell wonderful.

Do they still make the waterless hair shampoo? It's sprinkled in the hair, then brushed out. I'm thinking that this product could be used on the stuffed animal. It's worth a try. I can't think of the name of the product but it was popular in the 70's & 80's.
