I recently got married and moved to US. In my country we had maids for all the works. so i am a spoiled kid who doesnt know how to do things well. Now i have to maintain a two bedroom apartment. so ppl pls share your valuable cleaning tips and routines including things you use(even good mops and grooms) and where to get them from? Also any time saving tips will be very valuable as i need to devote 8 hours to study everyday. Looking forward to detail replies from you all. Thanks!

Does anyone know how to get to the lil bits of dirt that drift under the washing machine? Mine is too heavy to shift or lift in order to clean underneath. I vacuum around it but i know there are bits i havent managed to grasp.

Failing that, is there anything i can buy like a pllinth to place at the base so that dirt doesnt go under there??

(Yes this is keeping me awake at night and yes this probably is quite sad lol)

I absolutely hate cleaning house, but I am trying to get better. I've noticed however, that it is much harder for me to clean during the day than at night. I'm not busy during the day, but I find myself staying up to all hours of the night doing dishes and cleaning the bathroom. Is this some odd sort of insomnia? I get up reasonably early.

or your sink? The place where I am living does not have a washing machine hook up, and the laundry mat prices are rediculous.

My sink and garbage disposal smells. I run my disposal every day, and I also put liquid dishwash soap down it, and Lysol liquid occasionally. What causes the odor and how can I get rid of it?
