There is no distractions when you clean at night. So, you can clean in complete peace and quiet, or you can put on your favorite music or movie to listen to while cleaning. I've always been a night person. I focus better, have more energy and the most motivation for cleaning at night. I love to clean at night, no one is making a mess after I clean something and I can completely enjoy and relax in my clean room(s) till I am ready to go to bed. For me, their is no other better time to clean.
I hate cleaning house as well.
But, I spend the money on shortcuts to make my life easier..i.e. a swifferwetjet instead of a mop, a swiffer duster, a robotic vacuum, so I can clean other things while it vacuums the floors, anti-bacterial wipes so that I don't have to use a sponge for surfaces and keep going back and forth to rinse it out, non-stick pots and pans to make washing them a bit easier. I air dry all my dishes and putting them away the next morning. Time savers/short cut cleaning tools cost more, I'll admit. But the less time and effort I have to clean, the happier I am!!

I clean at night too.... I have my husband get the kids ready for bed and I fly around the house doing all the mopping/and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen I find it makes my days much easier with the kids....
Here's a good bathroom cleaning tip....
*At night run a really hot bath....and pour 1c. bleach in the tub
and spray tiles/surround with diluted bleach water..
*Pour 1 c. in toilet
The next day rinse....No Scrubbing required....
I also....wax my tub with car wax every other month so grime doesn't stick and I apply a thin layer of shaving cream to my mirror so it doesn't fog....

I pick up during the day...Mainly after my little kids...and at night once they are in bed Is when I fully clean ( i,e the dishes, bathrooms, laundry and vaccum) its easier just make sure you pick up throughout the day and its a lot easier at night its mainly just loading the dishes folding clothes and wiping down the bathroom etc

Its cooler outside at night and probably easier to motivate than during the heat of the day. I find myself cleaning more often in the evening also... except vacuuming, that's more of a weekend thing.

I used to do that when I was depressed. If you are not sad now then maybe your a night person. Now that I am over it , I am wide awake at night, I am most productive at night. But if need be during the day I get stuff done. You need to find your most happy time of day.. Maybe it is at 2 am.. go with it but fit it into your schedule.

Its easier for me to clean at night too... I think it has something to with the fact that your mind is running throughout the day and then right before you go to bed you're thinking about everything you need to do tomorrow. So right in between those two stages your mind is clear, and a little less stressed.

I do it at night too or if I get up early in the morning but I have a hard time cleaning midday. I think my reason is that my kids are alseep and I know I won't get interrupted

I think it may be better to clean at night and save chores that require higher brain functioning for earlier in the day. The only drawback to cleaning at night is that because it's dark you may not be able to see all the dust and dirt.

I can equate to that! If I don't get things done early in the morning, I find myself ready to go about 8 or 9 at night, and then I could go all night!! You're not odd! (Unless we both are!)

I love to clean around midnight - esp. kitchen and mopping or vacuuming. I'd love to vacuum but it would annoy my husband and the neighbors. Guess our body clocks are just different than other peoples. I also like 2nd shift for work, but sometimes it's hard to get those hours in certain careers.
