Does anyone know how to get to the lil bits of dirt that drift under the washing machine? Mine is too heavy to shift or lift in order to clean underneath. I vacuum around it but i know there are bits i havent managed to grasp.

Failing that, is there anything i can buy like a pllinth to place at the base so that dirt doesnt go under there??

(Yes this is keeping me awake at night and yes this probably is quite sad lol)

Take a rag or an old sock, put it on the end of a yard stick and slide it under the machine. You should be able to get most of the debris, dust bunnies or whatever out from under it.

This also works for stoves and refriderators, BTW.

Go to a good hardware store and buy a trolley for the washing machine.
You will have to get it out to fit it but once you have all you have to do is flick a lever, the washer lifts onto the wheels, and you pull it out.
Push the washer back after you have cleaned up all the fluff, push lever and washer sits back on the floor.

I bought a plastic insert that goes under the washing machine or dryer. You can find them like at Menards, Lowes..the plastic inserts fit perfectly under normal sized washing machines and dryers..they have lips on them to prevent all that gunk from going underneath..and if you would ever have your washing machine to go over..it would also catch the water. I know your aggravation..I'm a total clean freak myself!!!

a plinth would just be a strip of wood painted the same colour as your surrounding units and cut to size, that would work

Bits of dirt underneath, well put some sticky tape on a sheet of cardboard and run it under a few times.

try using a really long feather duster that you can usually buy at the £1 shop. i wouldn't recommend putting anything under the machine. if you have a large load that is slightly unbalanced you could damage the machine if it cannot move a bit.

CHILL. It is fluff... fluff is your friend... fret not over the fluff for it will multiply somewhere else when you are not looking.
