I have had problems with stains on my colored chlothes due to the fabric softener coming into contact with the fabric. You can investigate if this is the cause by taking an old shirt or sock or something you can throw away and appy the softener directly to the fabric and leave it for a few minutes and then wash it off.

I use the Downy concentrated fabric softener.

It could be the water turning the laundry blue. Do you have a water softener. That would help.

Could a pen possibly have burst in your washer? If this happened, you will need to run it a couple times empty with 2 cups of bleach in each run. Good luck! :)
