I was babysitting this kitten for my aunt. well when my aunt came and got the cat my sister and I started noticeing flea bites on my childern, my sister, and myself. My older sister had told me to use vinegar and water to get rid of them. So I did I sprayed all of the rooms and even the screens on the windows. No fleas have been noted yet but a odor of vinegar has and it is making us sick to our stomachs.

I know about maintenance, but keeping it clean is a hard task. I have two small children, and it gets overloaded. What can I do to keep it clean and organized without losing my sanity?

My house gets overloaded by clothes, mail, toys, etc..I have a hamper, but it gets full as soon as my husband comes home. He works two jobs and he has two different uniforms. I wash and wash, but I never get anywhere. I have two young children. I'm going insane with all of this clutter. Please help! I'm very tidy, but I feel like I never have anytime with my children. What is something to lighten the load. i don't like maids, because I don't trust them. My house never gets as clean as I want it to.

I got a silk shirt mail order and it was wrapped arond cardboard. I do not want to use the dry cleaners because it is expensive. How do I protect the shirt and get the wrinkiles out.

Also where does anyone know of a steamer that you do not lay on clothes? One that is just used in the air? Ie not a regular iron. If yes please provide a link or a name, so I can find one.

I have been told by my gran that the best way to get the creases out of curtains is to hang them up slightly damp and the weight will pull the creases out. I however am unsure i believe that they would smell and people shouldnt be lazy and just iron them.

What do u think?

Apparantley there are three household ingredients that you mix together and it kills the bacteria that forms the smell. I tried everything under the sun, lemon, vinegar, washing liquid, dettol, but I cant get rid of it off my leather sofa and I'm no way putting bleach on as it will wreck the leather. I'm not buying those special odour neutralisers from pet stores as they are overpriced and arent effective. I need to know this formula. They are selling the recipe of it on ebay but i'm not paying for it. I tried google to no avail does anyone know?

My mother-in-law, bought us a Korean Mink Blanket for our anniversary. I had it stored over the summer in an under-the-bed bag. I brought it out this weekend and it smells like my dog, that sleeps with us. My husband doesn't mind, but the smell drives me nuts at night and I can hardly fall asleep. Are you supposed to dry clean them or can you wash it in your own washer. It has very soft fur on it and I don't want to ruin it by throwing it in the wash. Help??? Any ideas?
