My house gets overloaded by clothes, mail, toys, etc..I have a hamper, but it gets full as soon as my husband comes home. He works two jobs and he has two different uniforms. I wash and wash, but I never get anywhere. I have two young children. I'm going insane with all of this clutter. Please help! I'm very tidy, but I feel like I never have anytime with my children. What is something to lighten the load. i don't like maids, because I don't trust them. My house never gets as clean as I want it to.

I keep a lot of baskets around to drop stuff in like odds and ends, a basket for mail, and a plastic container near the washing machine for pocket junk, a big basket in the kitchen for crackers, cookies, what ever--you get the picture. It always seems like its the little stuff that drives us crazy. I use the dishwasher a lot to keep dishes out of site. Get a basket for each kid and make them throw their own toys in it, making them be neat about it would never work. If they can't find something "Well it should be in your basket." Maybe could put a robe in the laundry room for your husband and he could drop his uniforms right into the washing machine. Good luck, it's just me and the dog now and I still can't keep the place neat enough :-)

I have the same problem- there's ALWAYS more laundry to do. Here are your choices:

1) if you don't trust a maid, take your clothes to a laundromat for fluff (wash) and fold
2) throw out all your dirty clothes and just buy new ones
3) buy another washer/dryer set so you can do more laundry all at once.
4) get your husband or kids to help

There's really not much else to do.

i have the same situation. i can never keep my laundry caught up and when i clean a room when i return its a mess again. i also have 2 children. i decided i had to figure out something. first i assigned my kids chores. i rewarded for chores done and tried to make it fun. i also have separate laundry baskets for clothes needed immediately and clothes that can wait a while, this helped some. i know this isn't much help but i am in the same boat as you so if you find out anything let me know.
