Try the same trick as the one used to remove candle wax. Place some kitchen towel on the ironing board. Place the jumper on top (single layer- one side at a time). Place a teatowel on top of the jumper. Iron through the teatowel. Hopefully this will melt the glue which will be absorbed into the kitchen towel.

*To remove glue from clothes (White, hobby glue, School):

1. Gently scrape (use a spoon) off whatever you can.

2. Soak and agitate in cold water before washing. Do not use hot water it will cause coagulation between the fibers in the yarns of the fabric, making the stain difficult to remove.

3. Inspect before drying if stain is still present. Soak in cold water using a detergent or enzyme presoak product for about 30 minutes. Soak old stains for at least several hours.

Launder in warm (not hot) water, rinse, and inspect. If stain remains, soak an additional 30 minutes, then rewash. (Never put a stained fabric in a dryer. The heat from the dryer can set the stain.)

Always follow garment label warnings and instructions.*

Try heating the jumper by placing a hot iron on top of it with tea towel under for protection the heat will make the glue sticky and easy to peel off.
Try freezing the jumper in the frezzer this will make it hard and easy to pull off.
Try nail varnish remover as this gets glue off really well.

There are several products out there that are made to remove glue. Have you tried OOPs? You can find it at Walmart with the paint thinner. It's made to remove glue spills, You'll have to apply it, rub it in good and rinse it under water. It's just a few dollars a can.
